To really top it all off, however, there is one more specal activity to try: a sunset cruise. There are a few options and here are the ones we would recommend.
Cairns Harbour Cruises
With a drink and nibbles on arrival you can find yourself cruising along the Cairns inlet, watching sun set over the mountains with glass of bubbly in hand in no time. The skipper gives a short informatory talk where you can learn about some of the history of Cairns before leaving you to enjoy the show. You even take a trip into the narrow mangroves so there's a chance to spot a croc!
Spirit of Cairns
The newest addition to Cairns' fleet, this beautifully renovated catamaran is already becoming a firm favorutie with visitors. Each person is greeted with bubbles on arrival so you can toast the sunset, before you are seated for a delicious buffet style dinner. There really is no better view for an evenings dining than this!
Sailaway Sunset
Experience real sailing with a drink and some delicious canapes while you watch the sun set along the Port Douglas coastline. Four mile beach looks beautiful from the beach and on a clear day you are able to see as far north as the Daintree rainforest.
